Jennifer Lopez, the undisputed queen of show-stopping performances, never fails to make a bold statement, whether it’s during a Super Bowl halftime show or gracing the Grammys red carpet. With the recent announcement of her upcoming music and accompanying video, it was a given that the multi-talented artist would pull out all the stops — and she certainly delivered.
On Wednesday, Lopez released “Can’t Get Enough,” the lead single from her forthcoming album, This Is Me … Now. The music video, featuring lively dance sequences, unfolds across three fictional weddings, all starring J.Lo herself. Despite sharing the same guests, venue, and lavish decor, each wedding showcases a different groom, a playful nod to media scrutiny of Lopez’s love life.
The opening gown of the video steals the spotlight: a white, long-sleeved turtleneck dress adorned with two striking heart-shaped mesh cutouts. One spans her midsection, while the other graces the upper part of her legs. The dress is accentuated with a bedazzled bustier-style top and sheer sleeves, creating a visually stunning ensemble. Lopez later transitions into a sculptural minidress embellished with red rosettes, a more dance-friendly option.
During a YouTube livestream, Lopez explained her choice of “Can’t Get Enough” as the lead single. “I love a love song, but I need something — and I kept saying this to them — that I can perform,” she revealed. “So, when we first heard this song, everyone just knew that this was the one to launch This Is Me … Now.”
Describing the song’s energy and happiness, Lopez emphasized, “It has an energy, it has a happiness to it, and you feel it all.”
In the livestream, Lopez also shared insights into her husband’s involvement in the video’s production. “Not that he’s ever really made videos or anything like that, but I just trust his opinion and his ideas,” she expressed. “Nobody kind of knows my story or me more than he does. I really feel like he gets me and he understands me, obviously.”
This Is Me … Now, along with an accompanying visual album titled This Is Me … Now: A Love Story, is scheduled for release on Feb. 16.
